Temple and New Year

Hey everyone!! Watsonville California is great and the mission is great! We had an awesome temple trip and endowment session a couple weeks ago and it was so awesome being back in the temple to do that. It was only my second time doing an endowment session so it was a really great spiritual experience. We also had transfer calls on Saturday and so I'm going to now be a ZL (zone leader) here in Watsonville and will be in a trio with the two other zl's until one leaves to Chile for his original mission assignment on the 13th. Gonna be a great next transfer and am super excited for it, such a great mission with an awesome mission president and missionaries sacrificing time with families, work, and school to be out here.. A lot of great new goals that we have set for the new year. A big one is our goal to jump from our 2021 goal of 400 baptisms, that we were so close to hitting, to a new goal of 2,000 for 2022, after we had a mission conference from Elder Revilio, a me...

Hello everyone!! I love it here in Watsonville California! Right now I have been here for about 3 weeks in the middle of the transfer and I am the DL and follow up training Elder Evenson who is hilarious.  Im writing on a Thursday right now because our pday this week is today because we are currently on the way to the Oakland Temple to do an endowment session and I will talk more about that next email.  The people here are great in Watsonville. Truly the promised land out here. Lots of strawberry fields and beautiful green hills and valleys out here. The people are so humble and so many are willing and seeking for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives and families. The spanish members out here are just a group and we cover the english ward and the spanish group out here. There pretty small but lots of funny, great people and a lot of work to do to strengthen the church down here. Last week we put our friend Guadalupe on date for baptism. She is so loving an...

Como estamos todos!! All is going well in San Jose California! I have been serving in East San Jose for about 6 weeks and almost 9 months on the mission and the transfer has come to the close. I love the Yerba Buena(Good Herbs) ward and the members are great in helping out in the work and are hilarious. We have family home evening nights every other week and there is always fun Spanish karaoke and games with the members. I am District leader and training here and my comp Elder Nakaya is hilarious. He has a lot of work to do on his Spanish haha but he is a big go getter so it he has been progressing well. Also one of the nicest kids I know and always knows how to put himself in a good mood. We have 3 main friends that we are teaching who are all progressing well. Their names are Arturo, Ingrid, and Jaime. Jaime is on date for baptism this next Saturday and he passed his interview so we are super excited for him. His wife he recently married right before the pandemic is a member an...

Hey what's up yall! I am now a little over 7 months on the mission and finally moved into a new area! I had been in Saratoga for 4 transfers and loved it but for almost 2 weeks now I got moved to East San Jose and it's awesome! I am training, district leader and in a trio, and so I'm with a fresh missionary out of the field named elder Nakaya and I'm with my guy elder call who I had served with me in my 1st transfer in Saratoga, but hes leaving in a couple days to Mexico for his original assignment. Were also in an apartment with two other elders, elder davidson who also was in Saratoga with me and he's training also. Its a ton a fun being in a 5 man and in our zone is tons of fun as well, lots of basketball on pdays and popeye tuesdays after district councils. The mission is great though, I have learned more in 7 months than I would've in 5 years probably, also the latino people are great, love these people to death and truly brings me joy serving the people he...
