New place, New experience

Hey what's up yall! I am now a little over 7 months on the mission and finally moved into a new area! I had been in Saratoga for 4 transfers and loved it but for almost 2 weeks now I got moved to East San Jose and it's awesome! I am training, district leader and in a trio, and so I'm with a fresh missionary out of the field named elder Nakaya and I'm with my guy elder call who I had served with me in my 1st transfer in Saratoga, but hes leaving in a couple days to Mexico for his original assignment. Were also in an apartment with two other elders, elder davidson who also was in Saratoga with me and he's training also. Its a ton a fun being in a 5 man and in our zone is tons of fun as well, lots of basketball on pdays and popeye tuesdays after district councils.


The mission is great though, I have learned more in 7 months than I would've in 5 years probably, also the latino people are great, love these people to death and truly brings me joy serving the people here.

  Como estamos!!! Sorry it has been so long everyone! I'm still in Menlo Park and now 4 weeks into my 4th transfer here. I have a new companion again and his name is Elder Banks and he's a stud! He's a great example of love that he shows to all and has great high energy in getting the work done.  It has been so cool to see all that has happened since I have been in Menlo, a big one being the baptism of Stefani Gurrola. She was so determined the whole time to not let adversity stand in her way. It was such a really cool spiritual experience to see the change of this family, starting from the parents, to her husband junior and then her, it's an experience I'll never forget. Embrace The Suck

  Que pasa todos ustedes!!! So my p-day got switched to wednesday's now. Also this is my last week in the CCM! Crazy how fast it has flown by, but I have learned a lot and am ready to head out to San Jose.  This past week and half was very up and down. We started out the week beginning to start teaching out of the lessons of Preach My Gospel in Spanish and explaining scriptures in Spanish which was a big step up for the District. It was really tough at first, but through more and more practice and trusting in God, I have made great improvement. A lot of times I felt like I was not doing as good in the language as I should and that my abilities weren't the best. But something that has really helped not get discouraged and to keep pushing is that your choices show who you are far more than your abilities and as long as we are making the right choices and putting in the effort a step at a time, having faith in God, good outcomes will arise.  This past Saturday The ...

4 Weeks In, 2 To Go

 Hola mi familia y amigos Well sorry y’all for not writing for my first 4 weeks haha, please forgive my slacking, but I promise you’ll be hearing from me weekly from now on.    The virtual MTC (Missionary Training Center) has been going good though. I started on March 10th on a Wednesday. My companion and District are awesome, love them all to death. My companion, Elder Ashby is from Farmington Utah and couldn’t be more grateful to have him as a companion. The dudes a stud and has such a strong testimony of the Gospel. His nickname in the district is “Pops” because he’s the only one whose 21, which isn’t old at all, but because everyone else is 19, but also because he's like a true dad and loves saying “oh goodness” a lot haha. Shoutout to Elder Grothe, who isn’t the only Elder who everyone thinks is 35 haha. But all jokes aside, it's really because he cares more about our district than anyone else.
