Elder Jack Plumb's San Jose, California Spanish Speaking Mission - March 10, 2021 - 2023

 Hey everyone!! This last week was great. Went to Stanford campus for pday and checked out steph curry's house in atherton! Unfortunately hes in Denver for playoffs so we didnt get to teach him the word, but will try again when the offseason hits. We had a lot of good work going on this past week and what was really great was our friend Abraham got baptized yesterday! He's been taught for a long time by the missionaries but he finally made the decision. I'm so very grateful for him and his decision to heed the temptations of the adversary. He was telling us he had been so slammed with work this past week than ever and this guy works 24/7. Starts at 6am has a break for about 2 hours in the afternoon and then goes back to work and ends at 2am. And he had specifically gotten this sunday and saturday off for his interview and baptism and his work kept calling him in. He said it was really tough but ended up having to quit one of the jobs to make it for the baptism. I admired hi

  Hey Everyone!!  It has been awhile but I got transferred about 3 weeks ago from Watsonville after being their 3 transfers(about 4 months) to Menlo Park/Palo Alto/Redwood City area. It was sad to leave Watsonville and my comp Elder Smith for the 2 transfers together as well as Elder Salazar in the trio for 3 weeks and it was a bit unexpected but I'm involved in the Elders Quorum now up here and the Valparaiso 2nd Ward is awesome! The members are a lot of fun and I've gotten to connect really well with them and as well being in the Elders Quorum has helped a lot with unifying the members with missionary work. It's a bit different as we are working with a lot more inactive and returning members, but it works really great with getting members more active in their ministering assignments as well as helping us fellowship for those that we are teaching that are progressing towards baptism. There are a lot of awesome miracles and stories to share that I have experienced out here
