Hey everyone!! Sorry it has been awhile since I have written an email haha. But wow a lot has happened. I am now in my first week out of training and am in the same area of Campbell California. My trainer Elder Burrup went home last week finishing his mission and it was sad to see for me but am so grateful for all he taught me. We became good friends while we were out here together and he truly changed my mission. He was a heck of missionary that taught me so much about having a good work ethic and how to really nurture the people we teach and help them see that vision to be baptized. I'll never forget the example he set as a missionary that I push to follow every day. I a lot of good stuff has happened but all I'll say about these last 3 weeks to keep it shorter is that a lot fun times and spiritual and mental growth has happened in me and in the people we are teaching.
We now have 4 spanish companionship instead of 6 so me and one of the other elders who stayed merged our areas and became a companionship. My new comps name is Elder Powell and he is going home after this transfer so that will be two comps that will be dying in a row rip. It has been a busy good week with a lot of people to cover but we are getting a lot done. We have 3 people on bap date for August 14, Karina and Luis, and our friend Eldra. They are all such great people ready to be baptized so please put them in your thoughts and prayers.
That's about it from this week. A spiritual thought I'd like to share is from a talk I watched from the prophet Russell M. Nelson titled "Let god prevail". Some things I liked that we all should remember and ponder from what he said is that in Gods eyes each person is equal regardless of race or religion and we should abandon our prejudice and respect all gods children. How can we look to bring each other together instead of constantly pointing the finger? How can we be and are we willing to let god prevail in our life? With all the different conflicts, opinions, and views going on this world we can all stop for a second and focus on Christs example for us. Be loving and respectful to all we come across and taking away our thoughts from the world and centering them on Jesus Christ and his Christ like attributes of serving and loving others. As we come to let God prevail in our lives and make him the center of our thoughts and actions we will see the change of peace in our life and that God is a god of miracles.
That's all for today. Love you all and please email and let me know how your doing. God bless!
